Feng Shui & Colours

COLOURS

We have looked at the vibration of sounds through the singing bowls, the vibration of aromas through smells of rose, orange and geranium but what about the vibration of colours and how does that affect us in our own environments?
In order to sustain some kind of balance in our lives the use of colour is also essential.  I go in and out of cities all over the world but one place strikes me so full of black, brown, grey and dark blue and that is London.  I see few brighter  colours floating around and the atmosphere can be quite heavy.
That is why incorporating a healthy selection of colours into your home, workplace are essential as we can see how Google in their head office considers creative colours an essential ingredient to the creativity of their designers.
So Red is the colour of dynamism and its frequency can be fast but it is a colour used in all cultures because of it’s connection to vibrancy and good luck.  Red is the colour of the fire element when we look at the elemental system in Feng Shui.  It is the colour that ignites so if you need a lot of energy it is ideal to bring it into your space whether through flowers, pictures, cushions or even on the walls and can be ideal in the bedroom for passion.
Orange is the colour of grounding, its pulling you towards the Earth and is excellent for the stomach area and self esteem hence the reason for the Buddhist clothing being Orange.  Good for the Kitchen because of its interaction with the stomach and appetite.
Yellow is another grounding colour associated with earth; excellent for creativity and for being in the Now especially for children so this would be ideal for the nursery or children’s bedrooms.

Green is a frequency that is much slower than red making it more relaxing.  Excellent colour for your sacred space, to retreat to and is the colour of the Wood Element.  Green is all about growth, health and good fortune; paper comes from wood and money is associated with that.
Blue is softer in frequency-it is flowing and slowing us down and is associated with the Water Element.  Great for communication, wealth, calming scenarios and this can be manifested and found in pictures, frames, curtains, blue glassware and glass beads.

Purple is the divinity and is transcendent – this can be brought in to create a spiritual essence through curtains, vases, flowers, pictures, upholstery.  It provides a feeling of security and seems to take us into another dimension of the invisible.  Great for your meditation room.
White is the colour of Metal and the element is about shining, reflective, transformative.  Often reflected in mirrors and its frames, crystals hanging, gemstones epitomised in pictures, artwork and furniture.  Textures, colours, or wallpaper.
So, now you are armed with what colours can do for you and shift the elements within you to create balance or for whatever energy you wish to attract into your home.  If you need some assistance with the colours in your own home feel free to visit me on www.wealthyspaces.com

Feng Shui & Meditation

POSTED BY Cathi Hargaden August 9, 2017 IN Podcast | No Comments

Meditation – yes that word that can mean so many things to so many.  What does meditation have to do with Feng Shui?  Everything!
Funadmentally Feng Shui is about change, about fluctuation – see the I Ching – and ultimately about Balance.
One of the ways to acquire any kind of Balance from within is to close your eyes, breathe through your nose and out through your nose and let go.
I have to laugh sometimes when I have seen so many of the big huge Buddha’s I see around the world; they look so peaceful, vacant of stress and worry just like the one below:
Having meditated most of my life – a long time meditator who has not found it easy at all – in fact stoically resisted a sense of letting go many times over – I realised one day after meditating for quite some time and then seeing these amazing statues in Thailand and Sri Lanka I made a realisation.  These statues are remnants of people who have left the building.  Yes, it is possible to leave what you consider yourself – “self” and hence nothing is there anymore.
In all the subjects I have taught including meditation I have also always told my students dont believe anything I say. Why? because my realisations are not their realisations and they have to make them themselves.
So how do we get to a place just to sit down with ourselves; feel or acquire some degree of balance from within and then that impacts upon our lives; click here

Feng Shui, Technology, and Health

POSTED BY Cathi Hargaden August 4, 2017 IN Podcast | No Comments

Ease The Bad Effects Of Technology Through Feng Shui

Unlike before, we are currently living in a society that embraces technology, pollution, adulteration of food, and stress. We are so used to this kind of living that cancer, degenerative diseases, and restlessness are so commonly accepted.

Using mobile phones and tablets before bed could also affect the quality of sleep, and teenagers are the most affected. Your sleep gets disturbed by text messages, emails, calls, or reminders. Researchers warn against using gadgets with a bright light display for more than an hour before going to bed. It can suppress the body’s melatonin.

http://bit.ly/2fs1R1A

About 72 percent of children ages 6 to 17 years old, sleep with at least one electronic device in their bedroom. This resulted to getting less sleep on school nights.

Scientists note that chronically suppressed melatonin has been linked to increased risks of breast, colon, and prostate cancers. These devices have medical, and biological effects to humans. It was introduced to us without even requiring any health studies on their impact.

7 Feng Shui Ways To A Quality Sleep

1.) Say no to technology.

Television, phones, and computer all emit harmful rays that can not only disrupt your sleep but also reduce your Chi or good energy.

2.) Remove books and mirrors.

Mirrors have the same effect as their reflective nature, and can interrupt your sleep. They are considered to be negative feng shui in the bedroom. Books are considered stimulating in nature, and may impact on a good night sleep.

If you can’t remove the mirrors from your space, try covering them up before you go to sleep.

http://bit.ly/2bEku0Q

3.) Maintain a clutter free space.

Make your bed right after waking up and remove all clutter. A cluttered room can not only contribute to a restless night’s sleep but it can also impact on your ability to manifest goals, dreams, and money.

4.) Stay away from sharp edges.

Sharp edges pointing towards you while you sleep are considered to be negative Feng Shui, and can contribute to a bad sleep. This includes unstable artwork over the bed, sharp headboard edges, or having the bed lined up with a sharp corner of a room.

The bed should be located where you are able to easily see the door but not directly in line with it.

http://bit.ly/2ew9m5m

5.) Use peaceful colors, textures, and smells.

Choose colors that promotes calmness such as pastel shades. A warm pink color is best for the bedroom as it promotes love, romance, and peace.

Choose rich, soft fabrics, and natural organic sheets.

Essential oils of lavender, sandalwood, or rose can also be calming, and help you go to sleep.

6.) Remove photos, and large plants.

Photos in the room can unconsciously create a feeling of lack of privacy, and can impact on your ability to switch off your mind, and go to sleep.

Having large plants in your bedroom can drain the nurturing energy of the room, and creates an energy of growth rather than relaxation.

http://bit.ly/2jDRbuv

7.) Create balance.

Both sides of the bed should have the same pieces of furniture. This stimulates a connection, and bond with your partner, or helps you to attract one.

Having more stuff on one side of the room can make the person sleeping on that side feel burdened, or that they are carrying more weight in their relationship.

Having a good sleep is essential to our health. If you are interested in creating a sleeping haven for you and your family, don’t hesitate to visit my website at www.wealthyspaces.com.

Decluttering Your LIfe – the Feng Shui Way!

POSTED BY Cathi Hargaden August 3, 2017 IN Podcast | No Comments

What is wrong with a drawer of rubbish when no one needs to know it is there or cannot see it?

Well, psychologically you know it represents chaos and confusion yourself especially when you go looking for stuff in there.  Now imagine that in every part of your home or workspace and double the amount of confusion and what it leaves you with is less ability to be clear, concise and even in terms of a vision that too can become cloudy.

We can put to the back of our minds what always requires our attention but sooner or later it catches up with us.  The ability to ignore often means we haven’t dealt with that which is right in front of us.

We all have blind spots of course but how many blind spots have you got when it comes to perusing your environment and when you do you realise what the hell is all this STUFF?

The whole economy is based on us needing all of this stuff so that profits are made; nothing wrong with that I guess until the profits in your own life don’t quite add to one spoon of beanz but a huge amount of clutter that at some time is going to require a skip.

So have a listen to my interview and realise what you need to do for yourself to shift the energies in and around your home to make space for new things to come into your life.

Should you require a 1 – 1 consultation to get you started or become supported in that process catch me over on www.wealthyspaces.com or www.facebook.com/wealthyspaces

The Feng Shui Way – Cycle of Wealth

POSTED BY Cathi Hargaden August 2, 2017 IN Podcast | No Comments

The 5 elements can be used in everything you do in your Life whether it is Branding your Business

or looking at the Cycle of Wealth for yourself.  Whilst this system is prominently used in the Art of

Feng Shui and in Acupuncture the same cycle can be used to understanding how the process of your

Wealth can grow.

We start off with the METAL element which is the grey circle and this represents our minds and the

ideas and imagination we create for ourselves.  Everything that is around you has been created by

a mind; we are at the cutting edge of our ideas by how and what we think.

We use idioms in the english language that

relate back to metal; cutting edge, sharp as a pin, cut the atmosphere with a knife and so much more.

When you have the ideas we then float them; we float them by emotionally responding to them and

discussing them with people that are knowledgeable about that subject or have a wisdom for

guidance.  We may float those ideas by taking them into areas of expertise or find something similar

and do it different but either way we float them within ourselves and ruminate and pass them over to

others’.

http://bit.ly/2drOpWh

Once they start to take shape we have the WOOD element to start carving out what is possible; we

might branch off into other areas, we may consider research into those different branches until such

time we find our initial METAL idea has now taken a different shape.

http://bit.ly/2drOpWh

When that idea has started to have some substance we ACTION it through the power of FIRE.  This

element is all about taking action, our ideas have to be grounded by moving them through the FIRE

of drama, the fire of substantiation and taking the plans of the mind and putting them into action.

ACTION alone has to work in the context of the other elements.  When all the action has been done,

it has all been completed we are clearly doing this for some reason or other.  We want results,  We

want something tangible, or something that makes us feel a certain way or gives us some kind of

reward that either excites of allures.  Everyone has their own purposes, rationale for doing what they

are doing but we want some kind of payment or manifestation.

http://bit.ly/2drOpWh

When the idea of the METAL becomes the EARTH we get delight at seeing that idea through to the

end.  In relaxing because something has been accomplished we sit back in honour and it is in that

process of relaxing, letting go that we have our other finest ideas and so the cycle goes again.

Many people are marvelled by the simplicity of such a system and if this is YOU then why not just

on that cycle and realise the power of your own 5 Inner Elements by joining me in the webinar or by

going to www.wealthyspaces.com
