The Summer Season And Feng Shui

Feng Shui Tips For Summer

Summer is already here. The temperature is getting hotter which makes our home an uncomfortable place.

In the old days, humans spend time ensuring that they live in harmony with nature. However, these days, most people seem disconnected from nature which in turn causes us to feel stuck.

Feng shui means wind and water. It’s an ancient philosophy that teaches us about being in harmony within and around us.

In feng shui, the summer season belongs to the fire element. It is associated with the hot and yang energy. It brings creativity, drive, warmth, and self-confidence which means there’s more energy. However, too much fire energy in us makes us feel irritable, restless or drained.

Summer is connected to the reputation and fame. In the Bagua map, the fame and reputation sector can be found at the back middle section of your office or home.

To bring balance to your place, rearranging your space will do. Adding yin in your space, which is the lighter and calmer energy will do.

Below are the summer tips that you can do if there’s too much yang in your place:

1. Add cooler colours in your home like blue or purple.

2. Live plants are a must in every home. Live indoor plants keep the air temperature down, helps reduce stress and increases your focus. Definitely, a vital thing that you need to make you feel relax.

3. Add water element in your home by putting a water fountain in front of your home and make sure that it is flowing towards your house. This represents the energy of abundance moving in your direction.

4. The amethyst is great in cooling your home. It gets rid of the negative and stuck energy in your house.

These little changes can help you create a  cooler and more balanced home this summer season.

The Fire Element In Feng Shui

The Power Of The Fire Element

The fire element is one of the five elements in feng shui. This element is known to be the most masculine among the five elements. It’s more of a yang than a yin.

The fire element is known to be the energy of happiness and joyful celebrations. It is known as the energy of love and romance. It represents passion and sexual desire. It is a joy giving element. It brightens the space and brings out a creative presence in the area.

The colour of the fire element is red or shades of red. However, when the element is more on the feminine side, it belongs to the purple colour.

Just like the other elements, this element should be used to create balance. Using too much of this can be overwhelming. The fire element should be used in areas where it needs to be strengthened.

This energy is associated with traits such as action, anger, leadership, dynamism, aggression, grief, spirituality, joy, frustration, and vanity.

The shape that represents the fire energy is the triangle. Pointed shapes like the star bring in this energy in your home.

The wood element nourishes the fire element while the water element weakens the fire energy in a place.

The bagua areas for the fire element are the southwest, south, center and the northeast. The east, west, southeast and the northwest side of your home should be well taken care of as these areas do not like this element.

Use red accessories to bring in this energy into your place. Good lighting is vital in bringing in this energy. Decorations like artworks that feature animals or people, animal prints and even raising a pet cat or dog represent the warm nature of fire.

Remember that this element is related to your emotional health. Having a good laugh to start every day brings out this energy in you.

The Wood Element And Feng Shui

The Power Of The Wood Element

The wood element is one of the five elements in feng shui that can easily be found all over the house. It is said to have the energy of a live and healthy tree. It is more of a yang which means it is masculine and active and has less yin or the receptive and feminine.

The wood element is associated with the spring season and new life or beginnings. This element has the combined qualities of flexibility and strength.

The colours that best represent the wood element are green and brown. These strengthen the qualities of the wood element.

The energy of this element are the energies of unlimited growth, vision, abundance, survival and steadiness.

The shape of the wood element is the rectangle or tall and vertical. Strong Vertical things represent the element.

The bagua areas for the wood element are the east, southeast and south. The north, centre, northwest and southwest areas of your home should be well taken care of as these areas do not like this element.

To bring in the wood element in your home, you can use healthy plants, images of forests, and wooden furniture.

In the productive cycle, the water strengthens the wood element and the wood element strengthens the fire element. Adding the water element allows you to have more wood energy while adding wood strengthens the fire element.

In the destructive side, the wood element weakens the earth and the metal element weakens the wood. Adding the metal can weaken the wood in your space and adding wood lessens the earth element.

Creating balance in your home means using the 5 elements evenly. Too much wood hampers your ability to make decisions or develop ideas while too little wood element can give you a feeling of being stuck in a rut.

The Metal Element In Feng Shui

The Power Of The Metal Element

The metal element is one of the five elements in feng shui. The right placement of metal in the room can improve the flow of good energy.

The metal element is yin in nature. It signifies the energy moving inward. It represents intelligence, life, and energy. It also represents success and it brings power. The metal element focuses on logic and mental clarity.

The earth element strengthens the metal element and in turn, strengthens the water element. So you can use it to strengthen the water element in your home.

However, one negative aspect of the metal element is that it weakens the wood element. So to create balance, just add a small touch of the fire element to minimize its impact.

The metal colours are white, silver and gold. Its shapes are circle, oval or crescent. It is considered the purest shape since its line never end.

The best things to use to decorate your home with the metal element are coins, bells, metal objects such as iron, aluminium silver, steel, and gold. Pictures of coins can also be used as decorations.

The presence of this element in your space, whether home or office minimizes or helps eliminate the distractions. It creates clarity and the energy of calm.

It also brings the qualities of precision, efficiency, and sharpness.

In the Bagua areas of your home, this element is best in the north, west and northwest areas. This element does not go with the east, southeast, northeast, southwest, centre and the east area in your home.

A balanced space requires proper placement of things. Use this element to optimize the flow of chi in your place.

5 Steps To Good Health With Feng Shui

Discover The Path To Good Health

How do you maintain good health?

In this busy world that we’re living in, giving priority to our health is the last thing that we do. It is one of the important things that we sacrifice the most.

Most homes these days are not suitable for healthy living. Along with stress, pollution, and unhealthy food, the bad vibrations in our place affects our health.

So, how can we have good health?

Feng Shui teaches us that there must be a balance in everything. We should be in harmony with everything around us – visible and invisible.

5 feng shui tips to consider to maintain good health:

1. Declutter your home. Clutter is the most common thing that we can see in most homes. It is not only an eyesore but it affects our physical, mental and emotional health as well. It causes us stress and makes us unhappy. It keeps us away from making good decisions.

An organized home keeps us calm and relaxes our mind. It makes us more efficient and gives us vibrant energy.

2. Food is medicine. Food plays a vital role when it comes to good health.  The food that you eat should not only heal and energize your body but also your soul.

Make your food as colourful as it can be and serve it at the right temperature. There should also be a balance when it comes to the taste. A good example would be sweet and sour.

3. Space cleanse your home. Our homes may have energies that have been stuck for a long time. Space cleansing will help you clear your house with these energies.

4. Be with nature. Trees and live plants are live energy. Take a walk in the park or go out of town and breathe fresh air.

5. Meditate. Studies have shown that constant meditation prevents anxiety and depression. It also heals the organs inside your body.

Good health is not only about the physical but also how we feel on the inside. It is a complete package

The Water Element In Feng Shui – Feng Shui Mastery Show

The Power Of The Water Element

Water is one of the Feng Shui elements. It belongs to the yin or the feminine side. However, if it flows aggressively, it has more of the masculine.

The absence of the water element when decorating a space creates an imbalance in your place. Using the water element correctly in your space will increase the flow of energy of wealth and abundance. It’s the reason why it is called as another word for wealth.

In Chinse, water is called Shui. It symbolizes stability, honesty, and patience. Blue and aqua are the colours of water. Among the four cycles of the season, it represents winter. In the Bagua Map, it represents the Life Journey Sector or the Career which can be found at the bottom-centre of the map.

It represents wealth and luck. In the Feng Shui element, the moon and the mercury are related to water. It is also associated with the black turtle.

The water element nourishes the wood element. In the creative cycle, it is nourished by the metal element. It is controlled by the earth element in the controlling cycle.

Proper placement of the symbols or things related to the water element in your home can create an auspicious energy that can help you in your career. Using the water element in your home can harness the energy of this element and enhance the flow of chi.

Any shape that is wavy in your space brings this element in your place. Crystals, water, and glass bring the water element into your space.

As much as it brings good energy into your space, the wrong placement of this symbols is considered inauspicious. So be very careful.

Do not place water features in your bedroom as it is believed to put out the passion in your relationship.

Make sure the water feature of your home is facing towards your home. The wrong direction of water means wealth running away from you.

Creating balance in your home brings good chi in your place. Along with the other elements in Feng Shui, use the water element to optimize the good energy in your house or office.

4 Things To Check If You Have A Good Feng Shui Home Office

How do you feel when you’re in your home office? Do you feel motivated or do you get easily irritated? Is it conducive to learning or developing new ideas?

If your answers are more on the negative side, then it’s time for you to take action. It’s time for you to have a good feng shui home office.

A good feng shui home office is vital to being productive in the workplace.

A cluttered home office is filled with negative vibrations. It drains your energy and affects your productivity. It makes you easily irritated which can lead to arguments with the people around you.

Below are the things to know if you have a good feng shui home office:

1. Is your office space free from clutter? Is it neat and organized? Clutter creates stress. We tend to get overwhelmed by our work when there are tons of paper scattered on our desk.

Get organized. Put all the documents in folders. It’s much easier if you use colour coding and label each of them.

2. Do you inhale stale air in your home office? We stay in our office most of the time during the day. Sometimes, the smell of old garbage or cigarette smoke stays in the air for quite some time.

Open your window first thing in the morning. Let the smell of fresh air come into your space. If it’s not possible, use indoor plants. Plants absorb the toxins and releases oxygen in our space. Try to choose plants that are low maintenance such as snake plant, lucky bamboo or spider plant.

3. Where is your desk located? In feng shui, your desk should be in the command position. It should be positioned with the wall or cabinet behind you. This makes you feel relaxed and confident.

Your desk should be put in such a way that you can see who’s coming in but it should not be put directly straight to the door.

4. Is your space well-lit? Dark spaces make your work a little bit harder since you tend to put more effort into finding new things.

Replace old or non-working bulbs. If it’s possible, let natural sunlight get into your space.
