The Fire Element In Feng Shui

The Power Of The Fire Element

The fire element is one of the five elements in feng shui. This element is known to be the most masculine among the five elements. It’s more of a yang than a yin.

The fire element is known to be the energy of happiness and joyful celebrations. It is known as the energy of love and romance. It represents passion and sexual desire. It is a joy giving element. It brightens the space and brings out a creative presence in the area.

The colour of the fire element is red or shades of red. However, when the element is more on the feminine side, it belongs to the purple colour.

Just like the other elements, this element should be used to create balance. Using too much of this can be overwhelming. The fire element should be used in areas where it needs to be strengthened.

This energy is associated with traits such as action, anger, leadership, dynamism, aggression, grief, spirituality, joy, frustration, and vanity.

The shape that represents the fire energy is the triangle. Pointed shapes like the star bring in this energy in your home.

The wood element nourishes the fire element while the water element weakens the fire energy in a place.

The bagua areas for the fire element are the southwest, south, center and the northeast. The east, west, southeast and the northwest side of your home should be well taken care of as these areas do not like this element.

Use red accessories to bring in this energy into your place. Good lighting is vital in bringing in this energy. Decorations like artworks that feature animals or people, animal prints and even raising a pet cat or dog represent the warm nature of fire.

Remember that this element is related to your emotional health. Having a good laugh to start every day brings out this energy in you.

The Earth Element In Feng Shui

The Power Of The Earth Element

The earth element is one of the five elements in feng shui. It brings protection, stability, and security to your home. Among the five elements in feng shui, the earth element is the most grounding. It increases comfort and supports peace, calm and stillness.

The shape that represents this element is square which happens to be the most stable and grounded of all shapes. The rectangular shape, horizontal lines, and flat surfaces also evoke this element too.

The colour that best represents the earth element is yellow along with the other earth tones like the light brown.

The earth element is associated with your physical health and the state of your home.  It helps you address the clutter and the weight-gain in your life.

In the creative cycle, it is nourished by fire and in turn, nourished the metal element. It solidifies the precious metals. While in the controlling cycle, it is being controlled by the wood element.

The element of the earth is represented in the three areas of the bagua map. The three areas are the relationship which can be found on the upper right,  the health area which is at the center and the knowledge which is located in the lower left of the bagua.

There are many ways to bring the earth element into your home. You can use natural crystals, stones, and even potted plants. Ceramics, bricks, and pottery are good earth element materials for your home.

Remember that a balanced home requires not just the proper placement of things but also the presence of all the five elements.

5 Steps To Good Health With Feng Shui

Discover The Path To Good Health

How do you maintain good health?

In this busy world that we’re living in, giving priority to our health is the last thing that we do. It is one of the important things that we sacrifice the most.

Most homes these days are not suitable for healthy living. Along with stress, pollution, and unhealthy food, the bad vibrations in our place affects our health.

So, how can we have good health?

Feng Shui teaches us that there must be a balance in everything. We should be in harmony with everything around us – visible and invisible.

5 feng shui tips to consider to maintain good health:

1. Declutter your home. Clutter is the most common thing that we can see in most homes. It is not only an eyesore but it affects our physical, mental and emotional health as well. It causes us stress and makes us unhappy. It keeps us away from making good decisions.

An organized home keeps us calm and relaxes our mind. It makes us more efficient and gives us vibrant energy.

2. Food is medicine. Food plays a vital role when it comes to good health.  The food that you eat should not only heal and energize your body but also your soul.

Make your food as colourful as it can be and serve it at the right temperature. There should also be a balance when it comes to the taste. A good example would be sweet and sour.

3. Space cleanse your home. Our homes may have energies that have been stuck for a long time. Space cleansing will help you clear your house with these energies.

4. Be with nature. Trees and live plants are live energy. Take a walk in the park or go out of town and breathe fresh air.

5. Meditate. Studies have shown that constant meditation prevents anxiety and depression. It also heals the organs inside your body.

Good health is not only about the physical but also how we feel on the inside. It is a complete package

4 Things To Learn If There’s Good Feng Shui In Your Home

A good feng shui home brings calm, peace and happiness. It gives us a very light feeling that makes our day relaxing and our tasks lighter.

With the stress that we experience every day due to our busy lifestyle, we often go home to a place that makes us feel worst.

It seems like owning and going home to a good feng shui home is close to impossible. Clutter, dust and broken things are present all over the place. These things bring bad feng shui in our space.

If we really want to live in a good feng shui home, we have to ask ourselves with these questions. How do you feel about your home? Is there peace in your house?

Below are the things that will help you discover if you have a good feng shui home:

1. Do you keep a strong door and a clean entryway? Your door is the first thing that you go through when you enter your house. Can you open it wide? Is it well lighted at night? Check the area at the back of the door. Make sure that it’s free from clutter so it can be wide open. It should also be well-lited. This way, your place will look welcoming.

2. Do you own a clean and healthy kitchen? In a good feng shui home, your kitchen is your health and wealth area. Check the cabinets, fridge, and pantry. Leftovers and expired products should be thrown away. Organization and sanitation should be your priority. Live plants in the kitchen is an added bonus.

3. Do you pay attention to your private space? Your bedroom is your own personal space. Paint it with colours that can ignite the love and passion in your relationship. There’s no better way of showing how you love yourself than to bring more love, and happiness into your bedroom.

4. Is your toilet clean? Bathrooms have a bad reputation in feng shui. It’s one of the most neglected parts of our house. Maintaining its cleanliness is a must if you want to have a good feng shui home.

5. Do you bring a piece of nature in your home? A good feng shui home is a space that has a good flow of energy. We must put in mind that everything in our home affects us, from the things we that see down to the air we breathe. Make every decoration in your home inspiring and the air that you inhale, refreshing. Use the things around you to bring out the live energy that was once there.

Creating a good feng shui home means all parts of your home are well taken care of. From the front to the back of your house. Your relationship, health and wealth corner should be checked always and if there’s something that needs your attention, then spend time fixing it.
